WASHINGTON CO. FAIR ASSOCIATION RAISES MONEY FOR LOCAL YOUTH AT ANNUAL SHRIMP BOIL
The Washington County Fair Association held its 5th Annual Shrimp Boil Thursday night.
Crowds filled Silver Wings Ballroom in Brenham to raise money for the youth of Washington County through scholarships. Attendees enjoyed a shrimp dinner while bidding on auction items and participating in a drawing.
While total fundraising amounts are still being determined, thousands of dollars were raised from auction bids. Community donations alone brought in $2,500 for scholarships.
The Fair Association plans to host an appreciation dinner for fair volunteers on August 6th at Silver Wings.
