BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO VOTE ON ANNUAL BUDGETS

Action on the City of Burton’s annual budgets will be taken up by the Burton City Council on Tuesday.

Councilmembers will consider approval of the city’s general and water/sewer budgets and an ordinance establishing the budgets for the 2022-23 Fiscal Year.

Also on Tuesday, the council will revisit two items that were tabled at its meeting last month.  They include potentially conveying undeveloped property at the end of East Branch Street and the road formerly known as South Colorado Street to American Kinetics, Inc., and appointing a committee member from Burton to serve on the Washington County Appraisal District Budget Committee for 2022-23.

The council will also discuss possibly changing the price per square foot stated in the procedures for the policy regarding seeking approval of road acquisition and abandoned alley right of way.  In addition, it will consider a permit for microseismic surface monitoring along Indian Creek, south of FM 390 to the West Burton Street bridge.

The council will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Burton City Hall.
