LOCAL 4-HERS TAKE PART IN SOIL AND LIVESTOCK JUDGING EVENTS
The District 11 4-H Soil Judging Contest was held on April 22 in Fredricksburg, Texas in conjunction with the District 10 contest. Those competing from Washington County 4-H and placings include:
Senior Individual -
1st Place - Corbin Janner
Intermediate Team - 1st Place- Logan Boeker, Ryan Elliott, & Justin Silva

The Washington County Soil team is coached by Trey Boeker and Gil Janner. The Intermediate and Senior participants will participate in the State Invitational Soil Judging Contest at Texas 4-H Roundup in June.
The Washington County 4-H Livestock Judging teams participated in the Texas Multi-District Livestock Judging Contest on April 23 at the Brazos Expo complete in Bryan, Texas. These participants had to evaluate 8 classes of livestock and Intermediates (2 sets) and Seniors (4 sets) had to talk reasons on them to substantiate their placings to a group of judges.

Junior Team Maroon – 8th Place Team

INTERMEDIATE DIVISION

This team received species awards that included – 1st place Beef team, 1st place Sheep/Goats team, 3rd place Reasons team
