MAGNOLIA DAYS FESTIVAL MAY 20-21 IN COLUMBUS

  

The 2022 Magnolia Days Festival will soon bring two days of live music and fun to Columbus.

The festival on the courthouse square opens on Friday, May 20th from 5 to 11 p.m. and continues from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 21st.

Guests can look forward to free concerts, shopping, historic tours, a biergarten and wine garden, a family fun zone, car and art shows, horse and wagon rides, and the presentation of the 2022 Magnolia Belles.

The festival’s entertainment lineup includes performances on Friday from the Zack Walther Band at 6 p.m., The Slags at 7:30 p.m. and Big Richard at 9:30 p.m.  Saturday’s schedule features London Baileigh at 12:15 p.m., The Weary Boys at 2:30 p.m., the Shiner Hobo Band at 4:30 p.m., The Damn Quails at 6:30 p.m., Kaitlin Butts at 8 p.m. and Wade Bowen at 9:30 p.m.

Admission to the Magnolia Days Festival is free.

There is also a photo contest being put on by the Live Oak Art Center and Columbus Chamber of Commerce.  Participants of all ages can submit photos of any historical building or site within Columbus city limits.

Entry into the contest is $10, and $500 in cash prizes are available.  The deadline to register and submit entries is May 13th.  A gallery exhibit of all entries will be shown at the Live Oak Art Center during the festival, and winners will be announced at the event.  Registration can be done at www.liveoakartcenter.org.
