SCRATCH MARKS ON ROADWAY LEAD TO ARREST

Scratch marks on the roadway led to the arrest of a Brenham man Friday evening on multiple charges.
Brenham Police report that Friday evening at 9:30, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of East Academy Street in reference to a hit and run. Upon arrival, Officers met with the caller who advised the vehicle left scratch marks on the roadway after they hit the vehicle. Officers followed the scratch marks and located the vehicle and driver, identified as Bobby James Bimage Jr., 48 of Brenham, in the ditch. Bimage declined to perform the standardized field sobriety test and was later placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd offence, Driving While License Invalid Enhanced, and Failure to Comply with Requirements upon Striking an Unattended Vehicle. Bimage was later transported to the Washington County jail for booking where he was released to the control of jail staff.
