Brenham FFA placed first at the first-ever Sustainable Agriculture Career Development Event at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Brenham FFA team members included Kacy Harris, Talyn Perez, Keely Mikolajchak and Emily Searle.

A total of 15 teams from different schools competed.  Students had to identify and explain tools, insects and plants that are utilized in sustainable agriculture.  They also participated in a problem-solving event and took an exam consisting of essays, short answers, multiple choice and calculations to test their knowledge on sustainable agriculture.

The Brenham FFA sponsor was Travis Gonzalez.
