AUSTIN MAN ARRESTED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

An Austin man was arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop in Brenham.
Brenham Police report that Wednesday afternoon at 3:15, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West for a traffic violation. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle which led to the driver, Davontae Mikel Bickham, 19 of Austin, being found to be in possession of marijuana and a handgun. He was arrested and booked in for Possession Marijuana less than 2 Oz. and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
