BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS EARN U.S. ARMY SCHOLARSHIPS AT SIGNING CEREMONY

  

Five Brenham High School seniors earned over $500,000 in scholarships from the United States Army at an Army Signing Ceremony today (Friday).

Xavier Harris is joining the 15 Bravo Mechanic Program in the U.S. Army and received a scholarship of $124,171.

Zada Davis is joining the Army as a fire control specialist and was awarded $120,171.

Ralph Blackshire is joining the Army as a Patriotic Missile Launcher and was awarded a scholarship of $116,171.

Lance Maxie will be a Second Lieutenant in the Army once he completes training this year.  He was awarded $84,944 in scholarship funds.

Ian Sedlar is joining the Army as a pilot and was awarded a $116,171 scholarship.  Less than 2% of applicants are accepted into the Army Pilot Program.

Brenham ISD thanks Sergeant Robert Thompson, local Army recruiter, and all Brenham High School teachers and staff for their support of students and their efforts to create these opportunities for them.
