SALINAS RECEIVES SCHOLARSHIP FROM AMERICAN LEGION POST
The American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 has presented Ilse Salinas of Round Top-Carmine High School with their annual Essay Scholarship.
The presentation was made at the High School’s annual Academic Banquet.
Salinas submitted the most outstanding essay on a subject chosen by the Post related to the U.S. Constitution.
She was awarded a scholarship in the amount of $500, and was also presented with a commemorative pin from the American Legion.
Ilse is the daughter Secundino and Luciana Salinas. She is a multi-sport athlete at Round Top-Carmine High School.
American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 meets the first Thursday of each month at their hall located at 1503 North State Highway 237 in Round Top.
Their meetings begin at 6:30pm.
