4TH GRADERS TAKE PART IN WASHINGTON COUNTY AG DAY

  

Fourth grade students from Washington County schools took part in the 2022 Washington County Ag Day.

A total of 355 fourth graders from Brenham ISD, Burton ISD, the Citadel, and St. Paul’s Christian Day School gathered at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The annual event is co-sponsored by the Washington County Agri-Life Extension Service and the Washington County Farm Bureau.

The children were split into 11 rotational groups, and at each station learned about different aspects of agriculture from local residents.

The Washington County Cattlewomen treated the students to a beef hotdog lunch in between sessions.

Washington County Farm Bureau President Larry Winkelmann stated, “It was exciting to host the event in-person again to provide a wonderful and fun learning experience to the fourth-grade students in Washington County.”
