EARLY VOTING FINAL TOTALS

Early voting in the run-off election wrapped up yesterday (Friday) at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.

The run-off is for the District 12 Representative seat between incumbent Kyle Kacal, and his challenger Ben Bius.

The run-off was needed after neither man was able to reach 50% of the vote in the original primary election.

According to Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, 583 residents cast their ballots on Friday.  This includes 534 Republicans and 49 Democrats.

A grand total of 2,142 people cast early ballots out of 24,174 registered voters in Washington County, which works out to an 8.86% voter turnout.

Anyone that didn’t vote early will now have to wait until this Tuesday to cast their ballots.  Polls will be open from 7am-7pm.

Washington County Precinct One Voters will need to go to the Event Center at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  Meanwhile, Precinct Two voters can go to the VFW Hall, Precinct Three voters go to the American Legion Hall, and Precinct Four voters go to the Blinn College Student Center.
