NAVASOTA FREEDOM FESTIVAL CELEBRATION FRIDAY
The City of Navasota will celebrate Independence Day this Friday at its 3rd Annual Freedom Festival.
The free, family-friendly event will be held in downtown and include the annual Fourth of July Parade, live music and fireworks.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. at Brosig Avenue, traveling west on Washington Avenue to 9th Street. Participants can start lining up on Brosig Avenue at 5 p.m. Participation in the parade is free and does not require registration.
The Brown Sugar Band will take the stage outside of Navasota City Hall at 7 p.m., and vendors will be on site selling food and drinks.
The event will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Brule Field. Spectators are invited to stay downtown following the festivities, or they can move over to Brule Field at 8 p.m. to watch the fireworks.
