A Grimes County firefighter suffered injuries this weekend in a crash while responding to a structure fire.

The Anderson Volunteer Fire Department says a firefighter was driving a tanker to provide support at a burning building on County Road 185 Saturday afternoon, when the tanker rolled over.

The department expects the firefighter will make a “full recovery.”

The fire department thanks DPS, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, the Iola Volunteer Fire Department, CHI St. Joseph EMS and all others who assisted.
