WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER HOSTING LUNCH & LEARN ON PREPARING WORKPLACE FOR VIOLENT INCIDENTS

  

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s next Lunch & Learn program will focus on how companies can prepare for violent incidents in the workplace.

The program is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Blinn College Student Center conference room.

Three guests will speak during the presentation.  They include Jay Moeller, former FBI agent and current emergency services training manager at the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service; Brenham Police Sergeant Seth Klehm; and Patti Parks, emergency medicine nurse at Baylor Scott & White.

Moeller will discuss training workers, looking for red flags and preventing threats from within.  Sgt. Klehm will go over civilian responses and response options to active shooter events and the role of officers.  Parks will talk about the availability of Stop the Bleed training.

A light lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., prior to the first speaker beginning at 11:45 a.m.

Registration is $20 for Chamber members, $30 for non-members.  Seating is limited to 100 people.
