FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE EARLY-MORNING VEHICLE FIRE IN CHAPPELL HILL

A vehicle was destroyed in a fire early Sunday morning in Chappell Hill.

Around 1 a.m., volunteer firefighters from the Chappell Hill and Meyersville departments were called out to a reported grass fire in the 9300 block of Dairy Farm Road.  As firefighters responded to the scene, the call was upgraded to a vehicle fire.

Units arrived to find a Toyota 4Runner fully engulfed.  Chappell Hill firefighters worked to extinguish the fire while Meyersville supplied a water tender.

No injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
