NO ONE INJURED AFTER SHOTS FIRED IN NAVASOTA

SECOND SHOOTING CALL IN THREE DAYS

Navasota police report no injuries after responding Thursday to their second shooting call in three days.

Police say around 12:30 a.m., officers were called to North Lasalle Street and Northside Street for a report of shots fired.  On the scene, they found evidence of a shooting near that location.

Investigators processed the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.  Police do not believe there is a threat to the general public.

This comes after police responded around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to a shooting on Ella Street.  Two people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The department has not indicated whether the two incidents are connected.

Anyone with information is asked to call Navasota police at 936-825-6410 or Grimes County Crime Stoppers at 936-873-2000.
