COLORADO CO. FAIR BEGINS SEPT. 8
Activities for the 44th Annual Colorado County Fair start in just over two weeks.

The 2022 fair, themed “Neon Lights & Country Nights”, runs September 8-10 at the Colorado County Fairgrounds in Columbus.
Events at the fair will include several days of livestock judging, the Heart of America Carnival, a parade, rodeo action, a car show, a petting zoo, a cornhole tournament and a barbecue cook-off.
The opening Thursday of the fair is Senior Citizens Day and Tejano Night. DJ Pana and Los Tercos will be the featured entertainment.
Performing on Friday will be the Best of Colorado County, followed by Hayden Baker.
Several groups will take the stage on Saturday, such as the Black Cat Choir, the Brown Sugar Band, the Texas Dream Band and LANCO.
The Fair Queen pageant, along with the Little Miss and Mister, Junior Miss and Junior Fair Queen contests, will all take place on Saturday at Founders Hall, beginning at 5 p.m. There are 10 candidates for Colorado County Fair Queen: Carina Alonso, Lily Berger, Matison David, Brooklyn Eden, Samantha Gonzales-Cruz, Ivett Hernandez, Brina Kent, Scarlett McClelland, Talyr Tipton and Ashley Treece.
