THREE PEOPLE ARRESTED OVER WEEKEND
Three people were arrested over the weekend in separate incidents after traffic stops.
Brenham Police report that Saturday evening at 6:35, Cpl. Jimmy Ha effected on a traffic stop in the 500 block of Highway 290 West for a license plate violation. After investigation and a consensual search of the vehicle, Eric Jay McCourt, 48 of Clifton was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Saturday evening at 8:35 Ha effected a traffic stop on a vehicle for disregarding a red light at the intersection of South Market and East Tom Green Street. A probable cause search was conducted due to the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. During the search Officers located a crystal like substance consistent with that of methamphetamine as well as multiple pills of 4 different varieties without a prescription. John Wylee Tyler Edenfield, 24 of Brenham, was taken into custody for 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
Then Sunday evening at 6:35, Ha effected a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Highway 290 East on a vehicle for expired registration. A probable cause search was conducted due to the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. Marijuana was located during the search and Levi Daniel Forsyth, 24 of Summit, Mississippi, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.
