BLINN COLLEGE OFFERING INFORMATION SESSIONS ABOUT ENGINEERING PROGRAMS

The Blinn College District is hosting a series of online information sessions beginning next month for prospective engineering students.

The information sessions will be held via Zoom from 4-5pm.  The general engineering sessions are being held once a month starting on Thursday, September 15, and lasting through August 10, 2023. The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at the Blinn College-Brenham campus information sessions begin on Thursday, September 22, and run through May 4th, 2023.

Based at the Texas A&M-RELLIS and Blinn College-Brenham campuses, Blinn’s engineering program offers an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering that transfers to the state’s leading engineering bachelor’s degree programs.

These include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University-Texarkana and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering for Tarleton State, both of which are offered at the Texas A&M RELLIS.

Additionally, Blinn offers co-enrollment programs with streamlined pathways to an engineering bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at San Antonio.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national demand for employees in the architecture and engineering is expected to grow 6% through the year 2030, with an average salary of nearly $80,000 per year.
