GERMANIA MEMBER HITS BLOOD DONATION MILESTONE

A Germania Insurance team member has been honored for her years of giving blood donations to help save the lives of others.
Pam Hermann has been donating blood since her mother had to sign her up for her earliest donations when she was just 18 years old.
Hermann’s lifelong passion to save lives has earned her a special 15-gallon recognition from the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. With each whole-blood donation averaging about a pint of blood, this means Herrmann has made 120 donations in her lifetime.
Hermann said that she didn’t even realize she hit the milestone until being contacted by the Blood Center, and that knowing that each donation can save three lives is what keeps her going. Hermann donates at many community drives including the quarterly drives hosted by Germania.
Germania’s next blood drive is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10am-2:30pm. The donor coach will be in the parking lot of the Germania office at 507 Highway 290 East.
Donations only take 20 minutes. Hermann advises donors to eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of water before their donation. Successful donors will receive a coupon for a free pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream.
To make an appointment, call 979-836-5224 extension 4456, or visit www.commitforlife.org and use the sponsor code 4146. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Congratulations, Pam!
