SCHULENBURG ISD SUPT., WIFE RECOVERING AFTER VEHICLE REAR-ENDED BY 18-WHEELER

Schulenburg ISD’s superintendent and his wife escaped with seemingly only minor injuries after a Saturday morning accident on I-10 involving an 18-wheeler.
Duane Limbaugh said in a message shared to Facebook by Schulenburg ISD that the Toyota RAV4 belonging to his wife, Jennifer, was hit from behind by an 18-wheeler. He said their vehicle “looked cut in half” as a result of the collision.
Limbaugh said Jennifer was up and moving, albeit very sore, after the accident. Meanwhile, he suffered internal bleeding around the spleen, liver and brain, but did not need surgery.
Limbaugh said their sons, Bobby and TJ, were not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
