A Brenham man was arrested Wednesday evening on multiple charges.

Brenham Police report that Wednesday evening at 6:55, Officer Connor Caskey conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of College Avenue for an equipment violation and driver not being secured by safety belt.  Officer Caskey could smell the distinct odor of burnt marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle and the identified driver who provided him with his name and date of birth, but which showed no Driver’s License or I.D.  Caskey then conducted a probable cause search and was able to located marijuana inside the vehicle.  Officer Caskey was further able to locate an I.D. inside the vehicle for the driver, which showed him to be Thobias Deshone Wills, 36 of Brenham, which did not match the name and date of birth he provided when requested.  A check through Communications revealed that Wills had six active warrants for his arrest out of Brenham Municipal Court and Washington County Court of Law.  Wills was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz, Failure to I.D. Fugitive providing False Info, 4 Municipal Warrants that include 3 counts of Driving While License Invalid and a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 2 County Warrants for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and Driving While License Invalid with a Previous Conviction.
