NEW SUBDIVISION COMING TO ROUND TOP
The Fayette County Commissioners Court has granted conditional approval to a new real estate development project.
“The Estates at Astoria” is going to be located on Highway 237 near Round Top on a 62 acre development that will be the future home to 22 luxury estate parcels. Each parcel will be from two to five acres a piece.
The developer is Faircroft Communities, which is a division of BSR properties. The company has built subdivisions in Sealy, East Bernard, Wharton, and Waller.
Plans call for three roads that will be built to county specifications, and eventually become part of their public road system.
They will also build a rock entrance sign leading into the subdivision along with landscaping in the right of way.
Commissioner Luke Sternadel said that the developer also plans to form a home owners association, which also maintain all of the landscaping.
Purchasers will get the chance to choose their own architectural and building team or rely on a group of qualified resources that the development team may recommend.
Estate owners will have one year from closing in which to present home plans and specifications for approval.
