FAYETTE CO. RE-ENACTS BURN BAN

Two weeks after Fayette County lifted its burn ban, another one is in place.

Fayette County Commissioners voted unanimously on Thursday to institute a ban on outdoor burning in unincorporated areas of the county.  The order is in effect for 90 days unless ended earlier by the court.

This comes after commissioners voted 3-2 at their meeting on September 8th to lift the ban.

Many counties in the area, including Washington County, rescinded their burn bans earlier this month after receiving rain.  Fayette County is the first of them to re-enact a ban since then.
