WALLER ISD HONORS SCHOOL BUS DRIVER FOR HER QUICK THINKING

A Waller ISD bus driver has been recognized for her quick thinking during a recent bus accident.

Elizabeth Cline was driving a school bus loaded with high school students on Monday, September 26, when it was hit head-on by an 18-wheeler.

The accident occurred on FM 1488 at Kickapoo Road.

According to Waller ISD, Cline took immediate action to help ensure the safety of her students.

She stayed calm, quickly reported the accident, checked on students, and moved them to a safe location to await first responders.

While no major injuries occurred, there were four students transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
