BHS THEATRE TO PRESENT “THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG” NEXT WEEK

The Brenham High School Theatre Department invites the public to next week’s performance of “The Play That Goes Wrong”.

“The Play That Goes Wrong” is a comedy that was written in 2012 by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayers, and Henry Shields.

The play originated in the United Kingdom and has since made its way over to the United States where it ran on Broadway for two years from 2017-2019.

It won a 2015 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

“The Play That Goes Wrong” is about a fictitious theatrical company that is going to put on a play, and a plethora of disasters that happen while their performance is occurring.

The disasters include things like doors sticking, props falling off of walls, misplacing props, forgetting lines, missing cues, and actors breaking character.

The Brenham High School production of “The Play That Goes Wrong” will run Thursday, October 27, to Sunday, October 30.

Show times are at 7pm on Thursday, 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, and 2pm on Sunday.
