BRENHAM CUBS GETTING READY FOR A ROAD GAME AGAINST RUDDER

The Brenham Cub Football Team is riding the wave of a three game winning streak into tonight's (Friday's) district matchup against Bryan Rudder.

Brenham is 4-3 overall and 3-0 in district.  In the last three games, they have defeated Richmond Randle 38-22, Montgomery 47-14, and Lamar Consolidated 17-3.

The Cubs are lead by QB Rylan Wooten, who has completed 93 of 163 passes this season for 1,266 yards, and 15 touchdowns to just two interceptions.  He has a QB rating of 107.6.

Wooten is also the team's leading rusher with 127 carries for 617 yards and 9 touchdowns. Keith Crawford is second in rushing on the team with 53 carries for 293 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also has 26 catches for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The leading receiver is Reid Robinson with 19 catches for 409 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ian Stelter has 15 catches for 211 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Datavian Neal-Franklin has 13 catches for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Bryan Rudder is 2-5 overall and 0-3 in district.  They lost to Lamar Consolidated 42-35 in overtime, Huntsville 24-10, and Lake Creek 51-3.

Brenham Head Coach Danny Youngs talked about what the Cubs can expect.

Rudder's leading passer is Xavier Ramirez, who has completed 84 of 130 passes for 1,169 yards.  He also has 14 touchdown passes to just two interceptions.

His leading receivers are Kevin Holmes Jr., who has 36 catches for 427 yards and two touchdowns, and Jaquise Martin, who has 31 catches for 424 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Their leading rusher is Naterion Scourton, who has 59 carries for 218 yards and one touchdown.
