TWO ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH BRYAN DOUBLE HOMICIDE

  

Bryan Police announced the arrests of two people in connection with a double homicide that occurred back on September 4.

30-year-old Jalen Deshawn Bloom of Caldwell was charged with three counts of capital murder, one count of injury to a child, and two counts of Tampering with Evidence.

42-year-old Ruth Ann Benavides of Hillsboro, Ohio was charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery and two counts of Tampering with Evidence.

Bryan Police responded to initial crash at Silver Hill Road near the intersection with Highway 47.

Officers found 24-year-old Theron Daniel of College Station and 25-year-old Sabrina Garcia of Austin dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.

There was also a baby in the car with them that was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan for medical treatment.

The case remains under investigation.
