SCHULENBURG WOMAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES
A Schulenburg woman was arrested on Wednesday by investigators from the Fayette County Undercover Narcotics Task Force after they executed a search warrant.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, the warrant was executed in the 300 block of Matula Avenue in Schulenburg. Officers had obtained the warrant in connection with several past investigations regarding mail fraud and drug activity.
The Narcotics Unit recovered several pounds of stolen mail, including numerous check books, over 30 credit/debit cards, materials to print checks, birth certificates and social security cards, methamphetamines, and marijuana.
26-year-old Latrezia Johnson of Schulenburg was arrested and charged with a 2nd Degree Felony for Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information, a State Jail Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance, and a Class B Misdemeanor for Possession of Marijuana.
The Fayette County Criminal Investigations Division is working continuously on the current mail fraud issues. They have been contacting individual victims whose information was located in connection to the case.
