BMS STUDENTS, FFA MEMBERS PARTNER TO ASSEMBLE GARDEN BEDS

Brenham Middle School students and FFA members are helping to brighten up the campus with greenery.

Earlier this week, the groups partnered to assemble garden beds for the campus.  The project is funded by the National FFA Living to Serve Grant, along with a donation from Capital Farm Credit.

The garden beds will serve the middle school science classes as an outdoor learning lab.  They will also facilitate an after-school garden club for middle school students.  The goal is to bring awareness to healthy eating, exercise and agriculture.

The project was led by CTE Coordinator Travis Gonzales and Brenham Middle School Counselor Karen Peschel.
