NAVASOTA TO HOLD “STATE OF THE CITY” MEETING
The City of Navasota has announced plans for its annual “State of the City” Meeting.
The event is being held on Wednesday, January 11, at the Navasota Center. It is hosted each year by the Navasota/Grimes County Chamber of Commerce and the Navasota Examiner newspaper.
This year’s meeting is expected to review the growth and opportunities that Grimes County is experiencing both on a regional and local level.
The featured speaker is Navasota Mayor Bert Miller. There will also be presentations from Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth, and Navasota ISD Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick.
A new face at this year’s meeting is Aaron Farmer of the Retail Coach, who has worked closely with the city for several years as a consultant and business recruiter.
Farmer will talk about the state of Navasota’s retail market, examine current trends he is seeing on a local retail demand, and also speak to the regional draw that Navasota is experiencing.
The “State of the City” begins with check-in and coffee at 9:30am, with the program beginning at 10am.
Republic Services is the chief underwriter for the meeting.
