BELLVILLE LITTLE LEAGUE WINS TEXAS TURFGRASS AWARD

The Bellville Little League has been honored by the Texas Turfgrass Association with the 2022 Baseball Field of the Year.

Bellville Little League received the award at the Association’s Winter Conference in Denton.

Awards go to baseball, softball, football, soccer, and multiplex fields. 

To be eligible for the award, the field must have been under the same care for at least two years.

The board also considers geographic location, equipment, supplies, labor used, and in some cases the operating budget.

In accepting the award, Bellville Little League President Garrett Dornon said the things that he is most proud of are that they were the only ones who didn’t nominate themselves, and they are the only ones who maintain their own fields and facility with volunteer labor, and also without receiving taxpayer funding.
