THREE PEOPLE ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

Three people were arrested in separate incidents after marijuana was found inside their vehicles this weekend.

Brenham Police report that Friday evening at 6:15, Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer effected a traffic stop on a vehicle for an Expired Registration in the area of Becker Drive and the Highway 290 Frontage Road.  Cpl. Dudenhoeffer met with the driver, Dendrick Watson, 25 of San Antonio, and noted that there was an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and marijuana was located within the vehicle.  Watson was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Saturday morning at 9:00, Cpl. Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street on a vehicle for illegal window tint.  Cpl. Ha made contact with the driver, William Okeith Watson Jr., 25 of Cypress, and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  A probable cause search was conducted and marijuana was located within the vehicle.  Watson was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail. 

Then Sunday afternoon at 2:55, Cpl. Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a license plate violation in the 500 block of Highway 290 East.  Cpl. Ha made contact with the driver, Christopher Deshon Collins, 24 of Austin, and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle.  A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and marijuana was located.  Collins was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.
