FILING OPENS FOR WARD 3 POSITION ON BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL

  

Today (Friday) is the first day for candidates to file for the Brenham City Council’s special election on May 6th for the Ward 3 council seat.

The position was vacated by Councilmember Atwood Kenjura upon his announcement that he would be running for mayor of Brenham.  Kenjura will serve in the position until a successor is elected.

The filing period for the special election continues through March 6th

Thus far, four candidates have filed for the other positions up for election on the council.  Kenjura and Keith Hofmann are vying for mayor, while Albert Wright and Adonna Saunders are currently unopposed for their respective Ward 2 and Ward 4 council seats.

Filing for mayor and the Ward 2 and 4 positions concludes on February 17th

Early voting will be held April 24th through May 2nd
