WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET MONDAY

The Washington County Commissioners Court will be holding a special session on Monday.

The Commissioners will discuss having the County Road and Bridge Department haul rip rap from the Home Depot parking lot and the Holiday Inn parking lot to the County Yard on Highway 36 North to be used for erosion control purposes.

They are also scheduled to approve the appointment or re-appointment of Homeland Security Advisory Council members for Washington County.

In addition to that, the Commissioners will be discussing a pay grade change for the Evidence Technician position and a pay rate adjustment for the current employee.

Another agenda item is to authorize the Director of the Washington County Expo, Harrison Williams, to seek sealed competitive bids for a digitally integrated public announcing system for the Washington County Expo facility.

Other topics for the meeting include the quarterly Washington County E-911 report, the circuit contract renewal for the County’s AT&T phone lines, an oil and gas development permit for Magnolia Oil and Gas Operating on Nixon Lake Road in Precinct Four, awarding a construction contract to Glenn Fuqua Inc. for the Old Plantation Road Improvement Project, and amending the cooperative agreement with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets Monday at 9am in their Chambers at the Washington County Courthouse.
