BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO MEET MONDAY
The Brenham Board of Adjustment will hear two variance requests at its meeting Monday.
The first request is from Marco and Beatriz Aguilar, who are asking to allow a lot width of 17.6 feet at the street for two contiguous lots, where a minimum lot width of 60 feet is required, for a single-family residence at 1000 Burleson Street.
The northern lot is 0.977 acres and has an existing single-family home built in 1981. The southern adjacent lot is approximately 2.4 acres and is vacant. The applicants wish to sell the southern lot, but it must first be platted into two separate lots, paired with a redrawn boundary for the first lot.
The second request will come from Modesta Gonzales, who is requesting the city allow an 8-foot, 9.6-inch south side yard setback – where 10 feet is normally the minimum – for a single-family home at 713 Brown Street.
City staff recommends approval of both requests.
The board will meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
