BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR DWI

  

A Brenham man was arrested Thursday after a reckless driver complaint was received.

Brenham Police report that Thursday morning at 10:40, Officers
were dispatched to a reckless driver complaint in the area of North Blue Bell Road and East Alamo Street. A caller reported seeing a vehicle driving erratically, speeding and driving on the shoulder of roadway to pass vehicles, and almost striking other vehicles. The vehicle was located and stopped in the 400 block of South Market Street. During the initial contact with the driver, a handgun was located in plain view sitting on the passenger seat. The driver exhibited signs of being intoxicated and standardized field sobriety tests were administered. The driver was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.  During a search of the vehicle, open containers of beer and a cigarette containing marijuana were found. The driver, Eric Bohler, 44 of Brenham, was charged with DWI with an Open Container, Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
