BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES

  

A Brenham man was arrested Thursday after a shoplifting complaint was received.

Brenham Police report that Thursday evening at 7:35, Officers were dispatched to a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 200 block of Highway 290 West.  As the officers arrived, the suspect had left the store and entered a vehicle in the parking lot. It was discovered $246. worth of merchandise were not paid for and were found in the vehicle. The suspect was placed under arrest for theft at which time he resisted arrest and transport causing damage to the patrol vehicle during transport. The suspect was also found to be in possession of methamphetamines. The suspect, Anthony Henry 37 of Brenham, was charged with Theft of Property, Criminal Mischief between $750 and $2,500, Possession of Controlled Substance, Prohibited Substance or Item in a Correctional Facility, and Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport.
