THRALL DEFEATED BURTON IN TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP
After winning their first three games of the Thrall Tournament, the Burton Lady Panthers found themselves in the championship game against Thrall on Saturday. Unfortunately for Burton, Thrall came out with the win 4-2.
Thrall scored three runs in the first inning, only one of which was earned. Bailey Glaesmann took the tough luck loss
Burton managed to cut the lead to 3-2 in the top of the fourth inning. Amaya Williams drew a one out walk, and Glaesmann doubled. Aerynn Huntsman then singled home Williams with the first Lady Panther run of the game. Kallie Pohl added another RBI single that scored Glaesmann.
That would be as close as Burton could get it. Thrall tacked on one more insurance run and would win the game and the tournament 4-2.
The Lady Panthers (3-2) now get ready to host Flatonia Tuesday at 5pm in Burton.
