SUNDAY LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR SPRING EGGS ART WALK

  

Sunday is the deadline to sign up to participate in Main Street Brenham’s annual “Spring Eggs Art Walk”.

Artists of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to decorate downtown Brenham for the spring with giant, colorful eggs placed at various street corners and locations.

Entries can be submitted online at https://downtownbrenham.com/springeggs, or in person at Brenham City Hall or the Washington County Visitor Center.

Ten prizes of $125 will be awarded in several categories across two age groups, consisting of students 18 and under and people over 18.  There will also be a Best of Show prize for $200 from Kieke Egg Farm. 

Other prize sponsors are Floyd’s Lounge, Hermann Furniture, The Pomegranate, Celia Haley, Brenham National Bank, Brenham Floral, The Canyon Chick, Upchurch Architects, Must Be Heaven and Texas Casual Cottages.

Wooden egg cut-outs can be picked up at Brenham City Hall starting Monday and continuing through March 10^th.  Completed eggs must be placed in their designated spot in downtown by March 24^th. 

Voting will then take place through April 8^th, with the winners announced on April 11^th.

Eggs will also be up for auction during the art walk.  The public can bid on an egg design via a link on the website.  Auction proceeds from each egg will be split 50/50 between the egg artist and Main Street Brenham.  Auction proceeds will be presented in addition to any prize money won.
