CUB GOLF TAKES SECOND AT THE BRENHAM INVITATIONAL

The Brenham Cub Golf Team I finished second at the Brenham Invitational at the Brenham Country Club this past Thursday. Brenham Cub Golf Team II finished seventh.

The tournament was won by Klein Cain, who beat Brenham Team I on the team scores by only one stroke 332 to 333. Meanwhile, Franklin was third, A&M Consolidated was fourth, and Cameron Yoe finished fifth.

Out of the 77 golfers that participated, Matthew Black from Brenham Team II finished tied for second overall with a 79, but then lost a playoff and dropped to 3rd. Dalton Winkelmann from Brenham Team I shot an 80, which was good for 4th. Other top golfers for the Cubs were Grant Chisolm (Team I), who finished in a tie for fifth place with an 81, and Ashton Behrens (Team I), who finished tied for 10th place with an 84.

Rounding out the Brenham Team I scores were Michael Jozwiak with an 88 and Jake Forland with a 99.

Meanwhile, rounding out the scores for Brenham Team II were Levi Dupont with a 98, Jackson Van Dyke with a 102, Jonathan Nelson with a 115, and Landon Wolf with a 120.

The Cubs will host a second Brenham Invitational this coming Thursday at the Brenham Country Club.
