AUSTIN MAN ARRESTED TUESDAY NIGHT

  

An Austin man was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop.

Brenham Police report that Tuesday night at 10:50, Officers Myles Masters and Cpl. Armando Guerra initiated a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Highway 290 East for a traffic violation. The driver, Joel Moracen Zamora, 29 of Austin, granted permission to the officers allowing them to search the vehicle. During the search, officers discovered nine debit cards with different names inside the vehicle. A warrant check revealed the driver also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Evading or Attempts to Evade the Motor Fuel Tax out of McLennan County Sheriff’s Office. The driver was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and additionally charged with Fraudulent Possession or Use of Credit or Debit Cards.
