TWO ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

Two people were arrested over the weekend on Marijuana Charges.

Brenham Police report that Friday morning at 8:55, Officer Morong was dispatched to the 900 block of Geney Street in reference to a suspicious vehicle. After investigation, Lyanna Martin, 17 of Brenham, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 OZ, and transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in.

Then Saturday afternoon at 12:15, Officer Anderson and Cpl. Perez initiated a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Highway 290 West. After investigating the traffic stop, a probable cause search revealed that the front seat passenger, Racquel Jackson, 31 of Houston, was in possession of marijuana. Racquel was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 oz, and transported to Washington County Jail to be booked.
