LADY PANTHERS BLANK SNOOK 5-0
The Burton Lady Panthers shutout the Snook Lady Blue Jays 5-0 this (Tuesday) afternoon to pick up win and stay unbeaten in district play.
Burton got things started in the top of the first inning. Reagan Roemer singled. Paige Fritsch followed with another single, and on an error, Roemer moved to third. She then scored on a steal of home to make it 1-0 Lady Panthers.
Burton got on the board again in the third inning with an inside-the-park home-run by Amaya Williams to make it 2-0.
In the top of the seventh inning, the Lady Panthers broke the game open. Fritsch singled, Glaesmann walked, and then Allie Biggs hit a three-run inside-the-park homer to put Burton up 5-0.
Bailey Glaesmann got the win by going seven shutout innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out 13.
Burton is now 12-3 overall and 4-0 in district. They are off until next Tuesday when they travel to Iola.
