ONE PERSON ARRESTED ON DWI CHARGES

One person was arrested early Thursday on DWI charges.
Brenham Police report that early Thursday morning at 2:10, Officer Tina Bruno stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of North Austin Parkway for a traffic violation. The driver, Lorenzo Oliver Porter, 21 of Hockley, exhibited signs of intoxication and an open container of alcohol was found in the vehicle. Due to his performance, he was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container. During a search of the vehicle, a firearm was located inside the vehicle and the driver was additionally charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
