INCIDENT NEAR COOKS POINT ‘PEACEFULLY RESOLVED’, SAYS BURLESON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE

  

An incident that required the presence of multiple law enforcement officials Thursday afternoon near Cooks Point was “peacefully resolved”, according to authorities.

The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office issued a notice on Facebook around 5 p.m. alerting of a large law enforcement presence in the area of Highway 21 East and FM 1362 South.  FM 1362 was temporarily closed while authorities were on scene.

Shortly after 7:15 p.m., the sheriff’s office stated the area was safe and secure.

The sheriff’s office has not described the nature of the situation or said if any arrests were made.  As of Thursday evening, it said no additional details could be released.
