  1. Who is responsible for setting up the Baseball scheduling? I’m guessing U I L, but I’m asking.
Every team will be at different strengths at different points in a season. Little knicks or major things: pitchers or key players injured or recovered from injuries, younger players developing skills as the season progresses (a freshman or soph 20 or 25 games into a season is no longer the same player) academics maybe, weather conditions certainly. To play the same team twice in a week FOR THE SEASON makes no sense ON the field. It doesn’t save the schools any money either because you’re taking the busses the same miles on a home and home basis anyway. Far more fair to all is the old fashioned way; play everybody once, then again, flipping home field.
While you asked my opinion, four schools going to playoffs in a five school district; and the 2A schools always scheduled at 8:00AM at State no matter the sport, could also use some attention.

    1. The District makes the ultimate decision on the scheduling. Definitely pros and cons to the old way versus the new way and I’m in favor of the old way as well. The biggest knock against the old way was always seeing the same #1 pitcher both district games instead of getting into yours 2s and 3s.

What I would like to see ON the field is turf. Let’s get it done!
