WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO HOLD BUDGET WORKSHOP

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors will hold its second workshop for the appraisal district’s next fiscal year budget on Tuesday.

The proposed budget is $1,632,220, an increase of $109,220 from the past adopted budget.  Chief Appraiser Dyann White said at last month’s board meeting that the increase is due to an added appraisal clerk position, budgeting for potential raises, and adding contracts for sales reports and digital library for permanent records.

After the workshop, the board will act on setting a public hearing for the budget at its next meeting on April 25th.

In other business, board members will consider approving a contract for an appraisal review board attorney.  They will then hear monthly reports.

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district office at 1301 Niebuhr Street in Brenham.
