SOMERVILLE MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES

  

A Somerville man was arrested Thursday on multiple charges.

Brenham Police report that Thursday morning at 10:55, Corporal Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 500 block of Highway 290 West. It was discovered the driver, Eduin Wilfredo Franco-Contreras, 35 of Somerville, was operating a motor vehicle during a period his driver license was under suspension. During a search of the vehicle, narcotics and a handgun were located inside the vehicle. The driver also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest for traffic offenses. He was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid, Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and the two active warrants.
