WASHINGTON COUNTY 4-HERS AT HLSR JUNIOR HEIFER SHOW

  

Twenty-three Washington County 4-Hers participated in the 2023 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with their breeding beef heifer projects.

Madison Moran exhibited her Santa Gertrudis heifer, and won first in class, the Division Championship, the Grand Championship, was introduced as a Breed Champion in the Supreme Grand Champion Heifer Show, and took part in the American Division Drive.     

Other 4-H Students participating in the Santa Gertrudis heifer show were Nolan Wunderlich, who finished second in class, and Calvin Wunderlich, who came in third in class.

Rounding out the show were Kord Mikolajchak in fifth, and Lonna Wunderlich placed seventh. Logan Mason also exhibited a heifer in the show.

Meanwhile, Ali Tiemann exhibited her Hereford heifer, which earned first in class, and was named Division Champion.

Bethany Faske and Barrett Merten each received fourth in class for exhibiting their American Registered Breed heifers.  Also participating in the ARB Heifer show were Johnathan Faske, Lillian Faske, Cherish Faske, and Gabriella Faske.

In the Beefmaster Show, Landon Flisowski placed sixth in class, and Colt Scherer placed eighth.

For the Brangus females, Gretchen Merten was second in class, while Matthew Phillips was third, and Dawson Moran was fifth.

Bryleigh Sandifer placed fifth in the Simbrah heifers.  Bailee Wilson and Teagyn Wilson also participated in the Simbrah heifer show.

Exhibiting Greg Brahman females were Lena Ruemke and Barrett Kohring, who placed seventh in class.
